First off, thank you for all the comments, emails, tweets and so on that I received after posting the hair tutorial! You guys are seriously too kind to me!! I was nervous to “put myself out there” so I’m happy you all seemed to like it. I would love to make more videos in the future, so if there’s something you want me to vlog about, please let me know 🙂
This Friday I thought I’d share a quick recap of my week at the beach.

After getting a little too much sun on Wednesday, my family headed to Myrtle Beach to visit Alligator Adventures and to do a little more shopping. The Tanger Outlets in Myrtle Beach has to be my favorite place in the world. The Kate Spade outlet is currently having a huge sale – 40% off all handbags, plus an extra 20% off of that price!

I know the first bag is more versatile, but I think it photographed better than it actually looks in person. In person, the straw bag I bought is GORGEOUS and has a beautiful neon pink trim! Plus I thought it was more fun. I know I can only wear it in the summer, but isn’t that just an excuse to buy a new handbag in the fall? 😉
Despite the shopping, my favorite part about this week has been just being able to relax! This is my first year without a summer break and it has hit me hard. It’s been so nice not to have to think about work. My favorite thing to do is lay in the sun and read novels or solve puzzles in my puzzle book! (Haha, yes I told you I was a nerd).

Today I’ll be enjoying my last day on the beach with my family, then after dinner I’m headed to Charleston with some of my friends for Memorial Day Weekend.

Sounds like the perfect beach weekend! I love Wilmington and Myrtle and I am trying to find some time this summer to take a vacation at the beach. I am with you though on not loving the lack of summer break!
