Life surprises you sometimes. For instance: last week, we traveled allll the way to Vermont to capture the fall foliage, and found that the trees were pretty colorless – some were brown and some were bare. We found some pockets of pretty trees, but for the most part, we were pretty disappointed. So when we returned home this weekend and stumbled upon these brilliant leaves in Winston-Salem (where I live), I was astonished! The color is so pretty that it almost made my eyes hurt – it was crazy! Another thing you may find surprising is that my entire outfit (besides my handbag) is from Walmart! They recently started selling premium brands from Lord & Taylor, so you can find EXTREMELY high-quality clothes, but for the affordable prices that Walmart is known for.
My turtleneck pocket poncho is less than $35 and my skinny jeans are less than $40, and both are soo cute and versatile! I plan to wear the poncho with black leggings and over-the-knee boots or riding boots… and the skinny jeans will go with anything and everything. We had so much fun in Vermont last week, but – whew – it is good to be home. This week I’m catching up on cleaning and laundry, as well as running tons of errands!

Love this look!! I also have a question about your make-up. Your eye make-up looks great! Do you line your bottom lash line? If so, is it the waterline or underneath? I just think they look so pretty but not raccoon eyes lol!!

Wow! I was totally surprised when I read the part of this outfit mostly being from Walmart! But I have noticed that recently on occasion when in Walmart, some times the clothes do catch my eye! I especially love the booties!
Glad you found some fall foliage in the place you didn’t expect! Wish we could get a glimpse of that but I live in Texas soooo I’ll just have to live vicariously through your posts! Haha.

Love your cute and cozy fall look! As a Vermonter, I can tell you that peak foliage season is typically the first week of October, so I’m not surprised there wasn’t much color left this late in October. It’s all still beautiful though!
