Let’s get started by talking about the bedding… bedding is important because it “anchors” the room, and you will build your color palette around it. I knew I wanted white bedding so that I could easily switch out the pillows when I wanted to change up the look of the room… I love this Chloe duvet cover by Nordstrom at Home – the flower pattern is GORGEOUS in person, and you also don’t have to worry about wrinkles! For pillows, I love pattern mixing. Nordstrom has a huge selection of pillows, but I went with hot pink shams, a little leopard, some gold dots, and my favorite pillow of all, the “Hello” pillow by Kate Spade.
For the rest of the furniture, I went with white and mirrored pieces (again, neutrals). One thing worth pointing out – the wallflower wall art above my bed is really inexpensive (only $30) and makes a huge difference in the appearance of a room. Plus they are really easy to adhere to the wall – there’s a small sticker on the back of each one, so you don’t need any additional tools to hang them up. Nordstrom also has some really great wall art & mirrors – and they offer free shipping!
