Remember this post where I talked about my favorite tunic ever….? Where I mentioned it was long, comfortable, affordable, perfect for layering, and I couldn’t help myself from ordering it in a bunch of colors? Well this is the same tunic in black! I wanted to show you the black one because it’s proof that you can wear it with leggings (it covers your tush!) and goes perfectly with faux fur vests. Instead of this striped vest, I also wore it with a plain black faux fur vest & tall black boots for a dinner date last weekend. Halogen is one of my favorite brands that Nordstrom carries because their clothes are so well made and just plain comfortable. I linked up some of my favorite Halogen pieces below!
If you follow me on instagram you may have seen that I’m traveling somewhere this weekend! My boyfriend and I are taking a trip to Quebec, it will be our first time in CANADA and we are so excited! (Don’t know why I felt the need to capitalize Canada haha!) If you have been to Quebec City before we would love your recommendations!!

GORGEOUS! So excited to hear you're going to Quebec City — my husband and I actually just honeymooned there for a week in September (even though we live a few hours down the road)! Here are some recommendations, to take or leave. 🙂
– As touristy as it is, I definitely recommend wandering around the Old City. It is just stunning!
– As for food, the best/hippest spots in the city are in the Saint-Roch and Limoilou neighborhoods. Saint-Roch is totally walkable from the Old City (15 minutes or so), but Limoilou is farther out (worth it, though!). We definitely recommend the following restaurants/bars: La Planque, L'Affaire est Ketchup, Soupe et Cie, iX pour Bistro, Nina Pizza Napolitaine, and Le Bureau de Poste (super fun bar!).
– There are a bunch of great boutiques in the Saint-Roch neighborhood as well. Totally recommend for some shopping! 🙂
– Ile d'Orleans is a beautiful island with vineyards, orchards, sugar shacks, art galleries, bakeries, etc. only 15 minutes or so away from the city. We spent a day out there and LOVED it. If you're there, we 100% recommend stopping by La Boulange, an AMAZING bakery/cafe in a stunning historic home. The pastries are to die for. Yikes.

Oh my gosh you're going to Quebec!! SO MUCH FUN!! That's only like a 5-6 hour drive from my hometown in Maine, so I've been a few times. 🙂 It is such a beautiful place and feels amazingly European!! Make sure to eat some crepes- they definitely rival the ones in France!
There's also an amazing mall in Quebec City and they have some really cool stores that we don't have here in the US- I used to buy dresses for dances like Homecoming and such back in high school on trips to Canada sometimes!!
