I’m currently at my friend Emily’s house in Tulsa, OK. Last night we had THE best/most fun girls night ever! Our friend Savanah came over and we all got ready together, dancing to 90s music and sharing our makeup tips and tricks with one another. We were all cheerleaders in high school so there may have been a few old cheers in there too…. lol! Sometimes all you need in life is girls night out – even on a Monday!
Today I’m sharing my top five beauty products for a night out… whether it’s a girl’s night or a date night with your man.
1. Bright lipstick!
Bright lips are a must, especially during the spring and summer months. My favorite pink combination right now is Bite lipstick in the color “gin fizz” with Marvelous Moxie lip gloss in “life of the party” on top. It’s a beautiful hot pink combo! I’m wearing it in the above photos.
2. An amazing curling wand
I’ve used the T3 curling wand for the past year now and am hooked. In fact, you’re probably tired of hearing about it from me 🙂 But it really is amazing and worth the splurge! I have a few barrels that I change out depending on what look I’m going for. This barrel is my go-to and what I use for most of my blog photos.
3. A pretty pink blush
A pink blush is really girly and fun, especially with tanned skin. This one is perfect for a night out because it’s highly pigmented while also being long-wear – which means it will stay on for hours, even after a night of dancing! I have it in the color “blissful.”
4. Big eyelashes
Mascara is my favorite part of a makeup routine! It can make such a difference in your look – especially if you use the right one (there are some not-so-great mascaras out there :). I’ve been using this one for the past month and really love it, the brush is thick and fluffy which makes it really easy to apply. It’s also on sale today! One tip for really voluminous lashes is to use a primer underneath. I apply this primer every single time before mascara – it makes a HUGE difference and you can pick it up from any drugstore.
5. Your signature perfume
Every woman needs a signature perfume. I have used Dior’s j’adore Dior for the past year now and adore it. I only save it for special occasions so I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it!
