One thing I love to do in the summertime is host happy hours on our outdoor patio! It’s just so nice to be able to have friends over and enjoy a refreshing drink outside together. You know I like to go all out with the decor (even for just a happy hour lol), and Walmart has THE cutest outdoor dining sets right now. And every piece is affordable, too! The lemon theme is pretty classic, but the added pops of turquoise make this tablescape really unique. We alternated place setting with yellow and blue plates, and pairing them with this gingham tablecloth makes for such a sunny tabletop!
If you’re wondering what we’re sipping on these days, I’m pretty addicted to something called “Ranch Water.” I heard about it earlier this spring from a friend and, ever since, it’s been my drink of choice! If you haven’t heard of Ranch Water either, it is one of THE easiest summer cocktails, and also one of the most refreshing. The fresh squeezed lime juice and sparkling mineral water – and lots of ice – makes the perfect combination for a hot summer evening. It would be even better poolside! Seriously, it’s so refreshing, and as far as cocktails go, it’s healthy too!
Ranch Water Recipe
Ingredients
- 1.5 ounces fresh-squeezed lime juice
- 3 ounces Tequila (or 2 shot glasses)
- 1 bottle of Topo Chico Twist of Lime
- Lemon and lime slices (for garnish)
- Ice
Directions
- Put all ingredients into the pitcher and stir.
- Place lemon and lime slices in the pitcher for garnish.
- Pour into glass. Best enjoyed on a hot summer day!
How easy is that?! Let me know if you try it out. I’m linking everything we used for our summer cocktail hour from Walmart below.
*Thanks to Walmart for sponsoring this post.
Have been enjoying your recipes – everyone loves the lemon muffins, etc.
On this cocktail recipe, what size bottle of the Topo Chico ?
Thank you, Kathy! I use a 12 oz bottle of Topo Chico! 🙂
My midwestern self immediately read “ranch water” as water flavored like ranch dressing. Oops! But this sounds delicious (and much better than watered-down Hidden Valley). I just may need to rename it before I serve it.
Omg this was my exact thought! I’m glad I wasn’t the only one. lol
Ranch water is one of my favorite easy cocktails to make. So refreshing and easy!
