Although you don’t normally see pastel hues during the autumn season, lavender and blush pink are actually “trendy” this fall -and I’m loving it! This Free People sweater is a great example of a lavender sweater that’s also super cozy (seriously, it feels like wearing a big blanket). If you’re not digging the purple, it also comes in five different colors including cream, black and burgundy. But I personally love the lavender! If you do want to incorporate some pastels into your wardrobe, I like them paired with neutral colors such as denim, white, and cognac (especially cognac boots!).
On another note, this is SUPER random but I have been listening to a new podcast called “Spooked!” and it is amazing for Halloween – give it a listen on your way to work this morning! (But only if you like spooky/scary things!) It will seriously get you in the Halloween mood and it’s SO entertaining – each episode, a different person will come on and tell their story, usually about a haunted house or strange thing that happened to them. They claim that they’re all true stories, I dunno about thatttt but it is super fun to listen to 🙂 Think of it as a psychological thriller novel in a short, 30-minute audio form!

SO happy pastels and white jeans are a trend for this Fall. Don't get me wrong, I love all the camel colored sweaters and dark jeans but blushes and lavenders are so refreshing to me!

Love the sweater, Caitlin!
Also, did you find the SW Hiline to be true to size? What size are you normally/what size did you get? How would you compare them to the highland? I didn’t find the highland to be comfortable and it wasnt snug on my calves/legs. These boots hug your legs so well!

Amy Z
Hey Amy! I don't know why, but the Nordstrom website says these run small and to order the next size up – well that was not the case at all for me! I ordered a couple in my normal size and they were way too big, especially on my calves but also in the foot area. I ended up ordering one size down and they fit everywhere, perfectly. 🙂
That’s almost like the lowland. I found them to run way too big for me and I had to size a size and a half down! Would you say these are comfortable? I also ordered the Sam Edelman boots that you wear all the time once I saw my size available but they were too big on my calves/legs. So so so comfortable, though!
