turtleneck sweater dress // tassel scarf // Louis Vuitton Neverfull // tall boots
How cozy is this look?! I love a good sweater dress, and this one is extraordinarily cozy (especially with a scarf and boots added in the mix!). If I could wear this outfit every single day of fall… I would!!! 🙂 I wore this one morning in Colorado. We ate at a place called Ghost Town every morning – they had smoothies, matcha lattes, avocado toast and breakfast burritos, and just the memory of it makes my mouth water.
Okay on to the next item of business – I am in the mood to read fall books! Please let me know your very favorite book that reminds you of fall – it can be a classic, or it can be brand new – it doesn’t matter! I’m going to compile a list of the best recommendations! I just read a new thriller that was sooo good, I finished it in two days, and I’ll share that in the post as well.
xoxo
Wow U look Very beautiful And i love your post.

I’m not sure if you’ve read The Last Time I Lied yet but it’s sooooo good and totally up your alley!!
That dress looks sooooooo cozy, and each time I see those boots I get closer to ordering them! My favourite books lately are the Maisie Dobbs series by Jacqueline Winspear – they’re set right after WWI, and I heard about them through the Forever35 podcast. I think one of the hosts referred to them as “cozy mysteries” which is totally accurate. I also just finished “The Girl with All the Gifts” which was excellent, if not exactly fall reading material 😉
Crushing very hard on this dress! It looks so cozy and you styled it perfectly!

After the Last Dance by Sara Manning
I am reading this now – the story follows two women from very different time periods (the 1940’s and the early 2000’s). Whose lives eventually intersect. Each women’s journey sometimes takes them to dark places. This book has kept me captivated – wanting to see what happens next.
Love this look!
I looove this cozy outfit! Grey looks sooo lovely paired with camel tones for fall.
The though of Ghost Town is making me droooool 🤤😍
Redeeming Love – just finished it and it’s SO good! Rejuvenating.
Something a little less lovey dovey – the Handmaid’s Tale and Sharp Objects! Happy reading, looking forward to seeing others’ recommendations as well 8)
Hey babe love the outfit, as always! Just wondering, what is the color of your scarf? I think it’s the Jaipur Pink, but yours looks much more tan… xoxo
What color is the scarf? It looks khaki and I don’t see that color.
The book I’m currently reading makes me think of fall. It’s called Where The Crawdad’s Sing by Delia Owens. It takes place among the marshes of North Carolina. It’s about a girl who is abandoned but meanwhile there is a mystery as well…someone shows up dead. The book flips back and forth between 2 different time periods, the 1950s and 1960s. I must say it is one of the most well written books I’ve read in awhile, and I do read a lot.
That sweater dress looks sooo good! I am on the hunt for something just like this, but maybe a little bit more budget friendly haha!
Really looking forward to your book recommendations post! I am in kind of a reading rut at the moment, work has been so busy that I did not get any time to pick up a book. But I hope that will change soon so that I can snuggle up with a brand new read 🙂

I love the Woman in Black by Susan Hill! It’s a classic ghost story and I read it every Halloween!

Love the look! What lip color are you wearing?? I am currently reading For the Love by Jen Hatmaker. Super easy/quick read.
I would recommend reading The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah!
Such a cozy look! <3

I’m busy re-reading “Rebecca” by Daphine Du Maurier. I saw Emma Watson add it to her book club and I knew it was a great, slightly creepy story so I pulled out my gran’s 1948 edition to read it again. Love it!
Arum Lilea
It’s not a thriller, but I think you might like “By Invitation Only” by Dorothea Benton Frank! It’s set in Charleston and Chicago and it’s about how two really different families (peach farmers and wealthy hedge fund manager and his socialite wife) interact when their kids are engaged to marry each other. It’s cozy and feel-good, which I like for fall.
On the slightly more thriller side, “Neverworld Wake” by Marisha Pessl was so good! It’s perfect leading up to Halloween.

A Discovery of Witches! I read it every time the weather starts to turn at the beginning of fall. ❤️
Not your typical thrillers, but lately I’ve been loving the romantic novels! I just finished Eligible which was one of my favorite books in a while & now I’m reading According to a Source.
Also The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
All quick reads & cute stories!

If you haven’t read the husband’s secret by Lianne Moriarty, I recommend that you do! It is a great read.
Redeeming love by Francine Rivers
Caitlin,
I have been a long-time reader of your blog, but I’m not sure I can afford your style. I’ve come to expect over $100 on most of your pieces (sometimes it’s over $400!) and I just can’t do that.
Hey Jules, thank you so much for the feedback! I’ve gotten a few similar emails about the same topic! I just placed an order for some less expensive fall clothes (all $50 and less) so look out for some more affordable looks on my blog next week 🙂
Hi, Caitlin, I so enjoy your blog. You are beautiful. For book recommendations – I recommend Deadly Deception and Die Before Your Time by Susan Mucha. Her website is http://susanpmucha.com/about.html.
Happy Fall!
Book: Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. The best!
I always try to read an old favorite in fall, The Great Gatsby and the Harry Potter series are some of my favorites!

Hi Caitlin,
Love your fashion sense! BTW, the best book you will read this season is….Will’s Red Coat by Tom Ryan. A must read for a dog person or for anyone for that matter.
