Swishin’ into Summer

I don’t know what’s going on with our weather in North Carolina, but it was 93 today where we live!!! The heat is oppressive and it’s not even Memorial Day yet! I feel like I should be taking Kennedy to the pool to cool off – but the pools aren’t even open yet. I will say, we have been eating lots of smoothies and popsicles! This Free People smocked dress was the perfect thing to wear on a sweltering day. The material is nice and light and it’s super fun to swish (you know, swish the skirt around!). I wore it with some espadrille platform wedges but I think it would also be cute with tennis shoes or flat sandals.

How is the weather where you guys are? Hopefully you’re getting a break from the intense heat!

    Lovely outfit to beat the summer heat. 93 is hot. I am looking forward to some summer weather especially after the cold winter and spring of the north east. Good News I am moving to Virginia Beach with my boyfriend. My job promoted me and now I can relocate there. Happy to be leaving Long Island NY. At least I can stay at my parents house there when I have job assignments in NYC. How is summer in Virginia Beach. I hear its hot and muggy for the most part.
