Good morning, friends! I wanted to round up some outfits that would be great for Thanksgiving (can you believe it’s just a little more than a week away!?). Let me know if you have any questions about sizing!
fair isle chenille sweater (size up for a looser fit) // faux leather leggings // Marc Fisher hiking boots // beanie
I wore this outfit in Blowing Rock last week, it’s a bit sporty with the hiking boots, but you could easily switch them out for black boots or booties for a dressier look!
poncho // black ruched dress // similar wool hat // suede boots, similar here // Chanel boy bag, similar but less expensive here
This is one of my favorite looks from this past fall. My poncho is currently on sale in the grey color, it would also be really cute with this black dress!
Topshop sweater dress // colorblock beanie (comes in lots of colors!) // similar suede boots here and here // similar quilted handbag
This sweater dress is THE BEST sweater dress that I bought this season! It fits really well and is the perfect length (not too short, not too long).
chunky beanies (comes in several different colors) // buffalo check scarves (40% off, discount taken in cart!!) // my sweater // my jeans // Marc Fisher hiking boots // my mom’s UGG boots
My mom and I wore these matching looks in Blowing Rock. I just LOVE these buffalo check scarves and the pop of red they provide!
white blouse // sweater skirt // similar boots here & here // snakeskin handbag
If you want a girlier/dressier look for Thanksgiving, then the above one is it. The sweater skirt is nice and stretchy (and very comfortable), so no matter how much you eat, it will still look cute 🙂
on me: buffalo check sweater dress, also comes in a cardigan version // Gucci belt // Givenchy Antigona handbag // similar suede boots here and here
This buffalo check sweater dress also comes in a cardigan version which would be really cute with a black top and black pants!
on me: Free People dress // suede boots // on Chris: plaid flannel // fleece vest // jeans // UGG boots
Chris and I wore these outfits in Tennessee for our Christmas card pictures! I wanted us to wear casual outfits for our Christmas cards, since that’s how we dress 99% of the time! I bought Chris this fuzzy vest and was POSITIVE he was going to hate it… but once he tried it on and looked at himself in the mirror I could tell he liked it! (He had told me before that “he just wasn’t a vest guy” haha.) Speaking of our Christmas cards, I LOVE how they turned out!
We got our Christmas cards from Minted again this year. I love how many options there are and how you can customize them to make them COMPLETELY your own! We went with the “Ever Classic” design in the “pine” color and then completed the look by creating our own custom postage stamps through Minted’s website! If you’re short on time, you can even text your Christmas card photo to 2273, and a Minted stylist will text you back five holiday card designs, selected especially for and styled with your photo. How cool is that?! I also love how fast Minted’s shipping is – our cards arrived at our house in less than a week!
red beanie // plaid scarf // turtleneck sweater ($29), almost identical here // faux leather leggings // Marc Fisher hiking boots
Another outfit from Blowing Rock last week – this plaid scarf is a must-have for the holiday season!
black dress // drape front duster cardigan // similar suede boots here and here
This look is from last year but I found a very similar drape front duster cardigan online. And that black dress is one of my all-time favorites for fall and winter (you’ve probably seen me wear it multiple times on the blog and on Instagram!).
similar plaid coat, also love this one // grey dress // similar black over-the-knee boots (on sale), also love these // Prada Saffiano handbag
black turtleneck // tweed skirt // similar black over-the-knee boots (on sale), also love these
Last but not least, this houndstooth skirt look is a great option for Thanksgiving. This tweed skirt is online and available in every single size right now!
Hopefully this roundup gives you some ideas for what to wear to Thanksgiving! I personally prefer wearing dresses since I know I’m going to eat a lot and my stomach will need some room to stretch – hahah!
xoxo
Thanks for all the beautiful outfit ideas ! My goal is to try and look this pulled together on Thanksgiving !!! You and Chris are the cutest couple and I love those Christmas cards ! I’m off to do some shopping ! : )
These outfits are so cute! The sweater skirt from Goodnight Macaroon is beautiful. I went to their website and saw it says “one size” only – it looks like it fits you perfectly but I just wanted to check, have you noticed any issues with the sizing? I’m generally an XS or S and am generally wary of “one size” items, but the skirt looks perfect! Thanks!
I’m usually an xs as well and the skirt fit perfectly! 🙂
I just adooore your fall style! My favorite has to be either the cream sweater dress or the dress with the cute poncho over it! 🙂
