Now that I’m in my late twenties, I thought I would be past the stage of calling my mom every day, but if anything, we talk more now than we ever have! When I receive good news, my mom is the first one I call… when I’m having a bad day, I crave her voice and encouraging words. We talk on the phone every week, sometimes for hours at a time (something you do when you’re 12 with your best friend in middle school talking about your homework and your crush, haha!) When I stop to think about it, I realize how my mom’s role in my life has changed… she will always be my mother, but now is my friend, and there’s a big difference.

So when I was brainstorming ideas for my mom’s birthday (it’s June 1st!), I really wanted to give her a piece with meaning. Not just some body lotion or a scented candle, but something really special that signifies how much she means to me! I fell in love with the KAY Love + Be Loved Collection, and of course, the meaning behind the collection. Each piece, whether it be a necklace, bracelet or ring, has two interlocking loops which represent an inseparable bond.

The really great thing about the Love + Be Loved Collection is the varying price range, so everyone can afford something from it. My personal favorite pieces are this diamond necklace (that I’m wearing in the photos) and the yellow gold diamond ring.
