Happy, happy Friday everyone! In honor of Friday, I’m back with another round of Friday Favorites (it’s been a while, huh?!). Let’s get started…
When I posted this picture on Instagram I got a lot of questions about which self tanner I use. I’ve been using this tanning mousse lately instead of the lotion version – my mom has been using it all summer and she gave me some for my birthday to try. It dries really fast and doesn’t leave your legs sticky at ALL – and there’s no residual smell (unlike the lotion!). I’ve been using the mousse in between spray tans for the past month now and I highly recommend it, even more than the lotion! I think my mom got mine at Ulta.
Next up, you may have seen my Instagram yesterday, but these heels look EXACTLY like the Valentino ones but for $900 LESS! The color is identical and they are very comfortable – I ran errands in them yesterday and walked all around Target and they were fine, haha. I sized up half a size and they fit perfectly. I seriously can’t believe they’re less than $100!
I tweeted about this silk pillowcase the other day… I have heard so many good things about silk pillowcases for a long time now, but they’re kind of expensive and I didn’t know what brand/where to buy one. I finally bit the bullet and ordered this one by the brand “slip” (I got the pink one!). All I have to say is WOW. After sleeping on it for one night, I don’t think I could ever sleep on a regular pillowcase again. And now that I’ve been using it for several weeks, I stand by that statement even more! The fabric is cool to the touch and it’s really comfortable to sleep on (especially during the summer), but the real reason I love it is because I wake up WITH NO PILLOW WRINKLES or creases on my face! I seriously look and feel more refreshed in the morning, and I’m attributing it all to that little pillowcase. It’s also better for your hair since silk retains moisture and is known to cause less breakage. That also means less bed head… and I can go an extra day without washing my hair. Have I convinced you yet? 🙂
Okay, on to the next! bareMinerals sent me some products from their new “Gen Nude” collection that boasts so many different shades of nude that you are guaranteed to find the perfect match for your skin tone. I am really into nude lips right now, so it has been so much fun to play around with these!! The collection includes a buttercream lip gloss, radiant lipstick, lip liner and matte liquid lipstick. I haven’t even had time to try out every shade yet, but so far my favorite combination is the radiant lipstick in “bubbles” with “far out” gloss on top. If you’re a nude lips fan, you HAVE to check out the new collection.
Finally, I have said a lot of things about this on my blog and some on Twitter, but Chris & I watched “Stranger Things” on Netflix and finished the entire season in three days! It is AMAZING and if you’re into suspenseful and kinda scary stuff, this show is for you. Chris and I were both obsessed with it (at one point during one of the shows we got into an argument over something one of the characters had done – we were talking about them as if they were real life people!). We felt almost depressed when the show ended!
I’m headed to Charlotte today with my boyfriend to celebrate the wedding of one of my best friends from college. It’s going to be a busy weekend (I’m in the wedding), so if I’m not very active on social media, that’s why!

I've heard great things about silk pillow cases! My brow girl told me that pillow cases can rub off your eyebrow hairs while you sleep and to get a silk case to prevent that – love that pink color!

I love these favourites! I really think I might have to invest in one of those pillowcases and the shoes look great too. I'm embarrassed to say that I watched Stranger Things in 2 days! It was so good. When you said everyone was asking about your spray tan in that pic I was kind of surprised…I would have assumed all the questions would be about that gorgeous hair!!
I've wanted a silk pillow case for years but I just haven't purchased one yet. Maybe I'll buy this one. The Bare Minerals nude collection is my favorite!!
