Happy Thursday, friends! I am loving this dress (that’s less than $40!) for several reasons. It’s incredibly comfortable and incredibly versatile. This is how I styled it for the hot weather, but think about how easily you can transition it into fall with booties (or riding boots) and a patterned scarf. I’m wearing size XS. 🙂
I’m dog sitting for my parents right now… some of you may have seen Lilly on my instagram/snapchat before. She is a bichon and so so cute, but it’s like having a toddler around at all times! She follows me around the house, wants me to play with her at all times, and if I ever sit down she’s immediately in my lap. It sounds kind of annoying but I actually think it’s so cute!! (Although impossible to get work done.)

Hi Caitlin, love this look! I was wondering what you think about the quality of the dress? Some reviews mentioned that it is a very thin material and that also that it is very short (it was commented that the person is 5"4 and purchased a size M and still found it too short). Just wondering what your thoughts are?

Hey Anne! I didn't think the material was thin but I did decide to wear a slip with it, just in case (I normally wear slips under every dress). Also I definitely didn't think it was short! I am 5'3 and ordered the XS and it was actually a little longer than I prefer haha!

Also, I'm sure you've had this question asked a million times but I can't seem to find a resolution…I don't wear a lot of foundation on my face, but I still get really bad creases and make up coming off on my nose when I wear any kind of sunglasses. So pretty and I've been getting into transitional pieces as well and actually have a similar style dress in cobalt blue so this gives me an idea to style. Also I have a bichon and so relate to every time you sit she has to be on your lap.

Most small dogs are like your parent's Lilly! I have a maltipoo named Angel and she does the exact same thing, but I think it is just the sweetest <3 Also, I know you've had several other people ask now about the previous comment you made, about wearing slips, and I would also love to know where you get them! I've been wanting a good quality (good material/length, one that won't cling to me) slip for a while, but I always forget to actually shop for one haha! I think a lot of us would love to know what brand you wear, since I would have never guessed you had a slip on in any of your dress photos and that's exactly what I would want!
