If you guys are anything like me, I’m a little obsessed with my iPhone. I rely on it for everything – for work, keeping my personal life organized, talking to my friends, entertainment, etc. It’s always in my hand wherever I go (my dad mercilessly teases me about this – he even said once that he could see the glow of my iPhone in my mom’s stomach when I was in the womb). Anyway, I thought you might enjoy hearing about my top ten favorite apps!
1. Bloglovin’
The Bloglovin’ app is a really easy way to keep track of all the blogs I follow. I open it up first thing in the morning while I drink my morning coffee! The cool thing about this app is that it’s like a newsfeed for all the blogs you follow. It’s sort of like Instagram – once you “follow” a couple of blogs, their posts will show up in your newsfeed in the order they were posted. Once you’ve read a post, it disappears off your feed (if you want to read it later, you can hit the “save” button). I also use Bloglovin’ on my computer when I don’t have access to my phone. If you want to follow my blog on Bloglovin’ you can find me HERE!

2. VSCO
I use VSCO to edit a lot of my instagram photos. It may take you a while to understand how to edit photos on the app, so you have to play around with it a lot. I really like the “sharpening” tool – it makes your pictures look really crisp and clear. I also love the filters. The app comes with a bunch of standard filters that are really good, but there are hundreds more filters available for purchase. You can also adjust the strength of filters, which I appreciate.

3. Afterlight
Afterlight is another photo-editing app that I love. Once I pick a VSCO filter, I usually import it into Afterlight to finish editing it. I play around with the brightness, exposure, contrast and temperature tools until I’m happy with the photo and it’s ready to instagram. You can also crop images and flip them which is really convenient!
4. Frametastic
I use the Frametastic app whenever I want to put two images side-by-side (for example, when I instagram pictures from a blog post). This is an example of what I’m talking about. This app provides a ton of different pictures combinations, and you can get ride of the border between frames which is why it’s my favorite!
5. Snug
The Snug app is literally my BFF. I use this app to plan out my instagram feed before I actually post. I am crazy about my instagram “collage” (what I call it) looking cohesive and flowing together. With the Snug app you can visually plan out which instagram posts will go up next and how they look together in your feed. The thing that I REALLY love about this app is that it allows you to delete photos you’ve already posted (without ACTUALLY deleting them on instagram) to see how your feed would look without it. If you are crazy obsessed with your Instagram collage like I am, then you will need this app!

6. Mile IQ
This app makes it incredibly easy to track your mileage – since I own my own business, I have to keep track of my business miles every month. This app runs in the background and uses your phone’s GPS to automatically log mileage anytime you go for a drive. You can classify your drives as business or personal with a simple swipe, making it incredibly easy to calculate your business miles each month. This has been a lifesaver for me because I always used to forget to track my miles manually (I used to write it all down in a notebook but was constantly forgetting).
7. Goodreads
If you’re a bookworm like me, then you need the Goodreads app! It allows you to keep track of all the books you’ve read and the one you’re currently reading, and gives recommendations for books that are similar to the ones you like. You can also rate the books you’ve read and see the books your friends are reading as well as their ratings. My profile is pretty old, but you can add me as a friend here to see what I’m reading.
8. LINE
LINE is an incredibly useful app if you travel internationally or have family or friends that are abroad. My brother is currently living and working in Japan, so my family uses LINE to communicate with him since texting would be too expensive. All you need to communicate with someone on LINE is an internet connection. You can send messages, emojis, pictures, have group chats and even make video calls on the app. When I traveled to London and Paris last year, I relied on LINE to communicate with my family while I was there.

9. Bejeweled
Okay this one is purely for fun! Bejeweled is a fun game (kind of like candy crush) that is super addicting. Both me, my dad and boyfriend all play it and are really competitive with each other. I play this on long car rides, if I’m waiting in line for something, or whenever I’m bored and want time to pass quickly.
10. Spotify
I’m sure you probably already know about Spotify, but this app is great for music lovers. Spotify streams music to your phone without you having to actually own the songs. You can listen to different stations (like pop, hip-hop and classical) and always discover new talented artists and songs. This app is great to have if you like to listen to music while you work out!
Well that’s it, folks! I’d LOVE to know your favorite apps, please let me know in the comments so we can all learn from each other. 🙂

I love VSCO and afterlight! What is your favorite VSCO filter?
Awesome:P
Shall We Sasa
I haven't updated VSCO since they did away with the preview feature because I didnt want to lose the ability to plan my feed! I'll have to look into Snug though! It's silly but I love the Rain Rain app, its like a traveling noise maker and it has everything from ocean waves to a snow storm and you can layer sounds over each other. Its the best to help me sleep!

Thanks for sharing, Caitlin! I use Afterlight and VSCO too. I use Darkroom which is kind of like VSCO, Audible to listen to books since I drive so much, Yoga Studio so I can do them at home or while I'm traveling. You get to choose the level you are, what kinds of yoga you want to do and create and schedule your own custom classes and can sync all of it to your calendar. I also Duolingo for learning languages. You basically set how much time you have in a day to dedicate to learning another language and play "games" to learn whatever language you want. I use Planoly for photo arranging and it's much like Snug. I downloaded Snug, MileIQ and Goodreads. Thanks for the recs! xo
Such a great apps! Thanks dear 😉

I always love these kinds of posts, probably because I'm nosy haha but also I love finding new apps, books, songs, etc.
One that I love is called MinimaList. In the past most to-do list apps had too many features, colors, etc and it just made me even more anxious and less likely to keep track of my tasks, but this one stepped in to solve that problem. It's a very basic interface where you simply add your tasks and swipe to remove them when completed. It's awesome!
Bejeweled omg I remember that game!!! I used to play that on my iPod touch in high school #tbt! I want to redownload it now!! 🙂
A few of my favs are Shazam for identifying music, the Bible app (they have great free devotionals on there), and FlightView for tracking my flights when I travel!

I need that snug app asap. I delete stuff when it doesn't flow well. I am so anal. I tried vsco at your rec from twitter, but I could NOT figure it out. I edit in PicTapGo and Instagram. Thanks for this list!
Thanks for the tips!

Spotify and VSCO are two of my favorites, too. Three others I would highly, highly recommend: Google Photos (stores all your photos in the Google cloud, backs up automatically, lets you search for pictures by content, and is pretty much the best thing ever), Clue (helps you manage your period cycle because #justgirlythings), and Mint (budgeting app that streamlines all of your expenses, gives you budget overage warnings, and will even check your credit score)!

Love this post. I too use VSCO for editing my photos and have been meaning to get onto bloglovin'. I will for sure be checking out goodreads as I am a total bookworm and currently use they very sophisticated system of writing books I want to read/hear great things about on a piece of paper I use as a book mark. I just started doing book reviews on my blog as well and would love to read some of yours if you did them.
One of my favorite apps you might not be aware of is Stocard. You input all your loyalty cards and they are kept electronically on your phone. Like you I always have my phone on me and no longer need to answer "yes I have the card, just not on me" when asked. It has been amazing how quickly I have been able to get rewards now that I always have my cards on me!

I love bloglovin' and of course I discovered you by bloglovin'! VSCO is also my fav editing apps. Great post xo

Snug sounds amazing! I've started to become more neurotic about how my feed looks. I get a bit overwhelmed by all the photo editing apps out there and I feel like Instagram's tools are much more powerful than they used to be. But I may need to try these out (I never jumped on the VSCO bandwagon which makes me feel out of touch. ;).
My favorite apps Strava & McMillan Running for my training plans and tracking my runs!
Cute post! Thank you for sharing your faves – I LOVE Spotify too!
VERY NICE!
I am absolutely in love with your sweater! You look fantastic!
